Universal life (UL) products with a no -lapse guarantee (NLG) have been available for more than a decade and have shown tremendous sales growth since the variable- life market corrected itself in 2000.
Since then, this product, available on an individual and survivorship basis, has become a market leader. When first developed, ULNLG was generally available as a rider attached to a regular current-assumption UL contract.
