Lincoln National wins verdict in VA patent dispute
Insurer and investment manager Lincoln National Corp. said Tuesday a jury sided with the company in a patent dispute with a Dutch company that owns U.S. insurer Transamerica.
A jury that considered a lawsuit involving a computerized method of administering variable annuities found Lincoln's patent valid in a Feb. 13 verdict, ruling in favor of Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. and against three U.S. companies owned by Aegon NV, Philadelphia-based Lincoln said...
